How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for the following reason:

· As part of a project or advice that you have signed up to.

We use the information that you have given us in order to provide you with business advice that you have instructed us to perform.

For the Future Farm Resilience Fund, we will share your basic contact information with DEFRA for monitoring and evaluation purposes. Under no circumstances will any financial or business detail  be shared with DEFRA.

You agree to sharing your personal information with any member of JH Agri Consultancy and trusted sub contractors, who have agreed to keep your information securely and in line with Data Protection Law.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are: We have a contractual obligation or we have a legitimate interest.

How we store your personal information 

All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. 

Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

We will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, insurance or reporting requirements. 

In some circumstances we may anonymise your personal information so that it can no longer be associated with you, in which case we may use such information without further notice to you.

We keep personal information for a maximum of 6 years. We will then dispose your information by secure means.

Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information. 

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete. 

Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances. 

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances. 

Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances (not where data is being processed on a contractual lawful basis)

Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
