We will work with you on a 1:1 basis to help you to fully understand:
- what will change and when
- the impact this will have on your business
- how you might reduce reliance on current direct payments
We offer a simple, yet flexible approach including:
1. A Farm Business Review (for all participants) to identify your objectives and opportunities
2. Cashflow and budgeting (optional)
3. Technical help and advice (optional) eg nutrition, grassland management, environmental scheme options.
Am I eligible?
To access this free advice you need to farm, with a current SBI number.
We can deliver advice to all farms, but we specialise in beef and sheep farms with a particular interest in the tenanted sector.
We are based in the North of England but can travel further afield.
If you have already taken part in the first round of this funding, by receiving advice from ourselves or other providers you are eligible for options 2 and 3 (cashflow and budgeting and Technical support)

Advice will be offered by one of the following experienced consultants,
- James Hadwin of JH Agri Consultancy (South Cumbria based)
- Rhidian Jones, of RJ Livestock Systems, (North East based)
- Ian Cairns of AgriFood Technical Services, (North East based)
All of our consultants currently farm or have done in the recent past, so they understand many of the challenges you might face.
